Hey There!
I'm Ben Agapos, a graduating University of Tennessee student with a Bachelor's in Architecture and a Minor in Graphic Design. I was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee but have had many eye-opening experiences all over the world throughout my life, whether that be through playing sports in primary school and even during my time at UT playing lacrosse, or during my study abroad. Being a middle child my whole life helped give me a unique outlook on life, knowing that for every older sibling, there's a younger sibling's perspective to consider.
Who I am & Why Architecture?
My interest in Architecture/Design stems from spending a lot of my early years playing with LEGOs. I always enjoyed building and designing structures for my friends and brothers to be in awe of. As I've grown up and moved through Design school, that drive still remains. The desire to create compelling and interesting things has only grown, but also the need to promote positive change in the area around me and for the people around me as well. I have always been conscious of the thoughts and feelings of others, and in design, I believe that this is not just a prerequisite but something to be done throughout the design process. I believe we can create beautiful, compelling, and innovative things without isolating or abandoning those who may not have design-oriented mindsets, and I believe this can be done in a way that is sustainable for the communities around, and the environmental health of the area.
